Jamie had a teenage daughter, Melissa, with a girlfriend named Amanda. Amanda ended up spending loads of time at Jamie’s house. Many nights she would stay with over and so would I. Over time we came to “pretend” that Amanda was ‘one of our kids’. We’d call her ours and she took to calling Jamie mom and even lightheartedly calling me dad.
